About

Actor, Writer, Educator

imageSince my childhood years growing up in the border community of El Paso, TX and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, I loved creating imaginary worlds, imitating characters and scenarios that I saw on TV while secretly wishing I was a child superstar! I was inexplicably drawn to the freedom and beauty of expression in a way that left me curious and eager to explore the world of storytelling through performance.

That curiosity landed me in every drama class in school until my undergraduate years at UC Santa Cruz where I hit a goldmine with plays by Lorraine Hansberry, Luis Valdez and Elizabeth Wong among others. Learning about diverse playwrights allowed me to see myself and the stories I relate to as invaluable contributions to American Theater and culture at large.

In 2010 I graduated from NYU with One Journey, a solo performance on border identity that created opportunities for me to tour theaters, colleges and community centers nationwide. These experiences of performing in many different physical spaces and for diverse audiences taught me about versatility and the value of connecting with people of all walks of life.

Most significantly, these journeys reinforce my first impulse and passion for acting as the lead into my growth as an artist, and my excited steps towards focusing on TV and film at this point of my artistic career.
